Cream Reunion: It’s Official!
After weeks of speculation it was announced today by Eric Clapton that legendary 60s supergroup Cream will reunite for 4 shows at London's Royal Albert Hall. The venue was the scene of the trio's last appearance in 1968. Concert appearances have been scheduled for May 2005. Information regarding ticket sales has not yet been made public. These are the only Cream concerts scheduled. Details will be posted here on whereseric.com as they become available.
Cream Reunion Rumours
The rumoured news of a possible Cream reunion by Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce initially appeared on 9 November 2004 in London's Daily Mail Newspaper. Billboard, a music publication in the US carried the story later that day and sent it out via its wire service partner, Reuters. Billboard qualified their story with "a spokesperson for Eric Clapton had no comment." In the hours following these initial reports, numerous other news outlets around the world have picked up on the rumor of Cream playing dates at the Royal Albert Hall in 2005.
Hubert Sumlin’s “About Them Shows” Features Guest Appearance By Eric Clapton
Blues guitar legend Hubert Sumlin's new CD, "About Them Shoes", will be released by Tone-Cool / Artemis Records on 25 January 2005 in the United States. Produced by Rob Fraboni, Sumlin is joined by guests Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, David Johansen and Levon Helm. Specific track details for the entire CD are not yet known. Clapton joins Sumlin for Willie Dixon's "I'm Ready" and Muddy Waters' "Long Distance Call."

Bruce Hornsby’s “Halcyon Days” with Guests Sting, Eric Clapton and Elton John
Bruce Hornsby's new CD is entitled "Halcyon Days". His first Columbia Records release, it will be in retail stores Tuesday, 17 August 2004. The first single, "Gonna Be Some Changes Made" will begin regular radio airplay on 29 June. Sting sings a duet with Bruce on the lead track and first radio single, "Gonna Be Some Changes Made" and Elton John does the honors on "Dreamland". Eric Clapton plays on three tracks and contributes vocals on "Candy Mountain Run". The Hornsby band is represented in full force - J.V. Collier, Sonny Emory, Bobby Read, Doug Derryberry, and John "JT" Thomas.

Eric Clapton took to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall last night - March 15, 2004 - as part of the One Generation 4 Another concert in aid of the Lord's Taverner's charity. The house band was Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings and Eric joined them for three songs.
