22 May 2008 marked Eric Clapton's first appearance in New Jersey in 16 years and his first at the PNC Bank Arts Center since 28 June 1985 (back then, in the days before corporate sponsorship, it was called the Garden State Arts Center). The capacity crowd of 17,500 braved the unseasonably cool weather at the outdoor summer shed.
