On 9 August 2004, Eric Clapton was inducted into Hollywood's "RockWalk Museum" located within the Guitar Center in a private ceremony. The award was in recognition of his astonishing career, his achievements as a guitarist and entertainer, and his ongoing contribution to music. Clapton received a commemorative plaque and had his hands and signature imprinted in terrazzo marble.
