What an amazing performance! For a very good audience, Eric and his band were fantastic. Compliments to the crew since the sound in Cologne is not always very good but yesterday the sound was great. Very good setlist, nice acoustic part in the middle, great encore (only 1).

Clapton in Cologne and his band, what can I say? They were on fire. And let me tell you, Clapton and his guitar took the centre like they should! The band did a great job supporting and taking the whole thing to the next level, 0 mistakes. Looking forward seeing them in Hyde Park next week. To me, the highlight was Clapton taking the solo on I Shot The Sheriff and the dynamics which the band provided him with. Forever grateful for these men; blues music will keep on going on.

I was at the concert in Cologne and it was simply amazing. I’ve been a fan since I was 14 or 15 years old and it was the first time I had the chance to see Eric live. My girlfriend bought tickets for us for my 30th birthday this years and it was the best gift ever! We drove over four hours, all the way from Nuremberg to Cologne, and just had the best time.

As a guitar player myself, he’s always been a huge inspiration and one of my favorite guitar players of all time, so I’ve always wanted to see him live and on Monday it was finally the day! I always knew he’s amazing but oh man…his guitar playing really is from another world. I don’t even know how it is possible to be able to play so good. But not only Eric was amazing, his whole band is made up of incredibly talented musicians. There was just so much energy and emotions on the stage that night, it was impossible to not enjoy every single second of the concert. The sound in the arena was stellar and every instrument was perfectly balanced – this is so rare these days.

Eric was in top form and the setlist was couldn’t be any better, it was a perfect variety of acoustic and electric guitar songs. Seriously, it’s been two days and I still can’t stop thinking about how amazing it was. I hope Eric comes back to Germany soon, I’ll be the first who gets two tickets!

Eric was in great form on July 2, 2018 in Cologne! His jazzy guitar solo in “I Shot the Sherrif” was sensational! The arrangement on that song was new and great! His guitar playing on “White Room” and many other songs was fantastic. The band was excellent! I wished they would have played “Bellbottom Blues”. They did one song for an encore. The audience could have listened to many, many more great songs!
