An evening of music and entertainment in memory of Chas Hodges. The Chas and Dave singer passed away from pneumonia after a battle with oesophageal cancer in September. It was presented by his friend and musical partner, Dave Peacock.

Eric Clapton, in an unannounced guest appearance, walked on stage near the end of the night to perform “Good Night Irene” and “Red Sails In The Sunset” which segued into “Blueberry Hill” alongside Procul Harum frontman, Gary Brooker. Albert Lee – who was part of Eric’s band from 1979 to 1983 – was also on stage for the songs. They then joined the houseband and all guests for three encores.

Other guests were Joe Brown, Paul Whitehouse, Matt Lucas, Martin Taylor, Ralph McTell, Ed Tudor Pole, Jackie Lynton and Richard Smith.

All proceeds from the night went to Chas’ favorite charity, WaterAid.
