The 12.12.12 benefit concert at Madison Square Garden was organized to provide the most assistance possible to the victims of Hurricane Sandy in the New York / New Jersey area through the Robin Hood Relief Fund. The concert ran for nearly 6 hours.
The global television, radio and internet broadcast was hosted by Billy Crystal and Brian Williams with appearances by Steve Buscemi, Chelsea Clinton, Stephen Colbert, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jimmy Fallon, Jake Gyllenhaal, Katie Holmes, Blake Lively, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, Kristen Stewart, Jason Sudeikis, Olivia Wilde.
