Fan Reviews:

Review by Tsuzuki Hiroyuki

Though it was very cold tonight in Tokyo, the Budokan was on fire hotter than ever. Not few people have stood from the beginning of the gig. After this five-show marathon, Eric will have achieved 199tth live performance in Japan since 1974. Sadly, the memorable 200th show won’t take place on 2011 Japan tour. Needless to say, Budokan is the venue where Eric has performed most frequently in Japan. Eric himself calls Budokan “second home “. I can also feel relaxed here, because this is the nearest venue to my house.

One of the highlights of the show was “Voodoo Chile“, Eric displaying a dynamic guitar solo. I’m wondering if he should play “Old Love“ or “Double Trouble“. It could be more emotional and outstanding playing. In my opinion, the collaboration of Eric and Steve Winwood should have been restricted to 2 or 3 gigs on this tour. The audience, in this case, will be satisfied with each solo concert, most excited with their joint shows.

Where’s Eric!
