Eric Clapton & His Band were slated to perform on the second night of the 25th Anniversary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concerts along with Aretha Franklin, Metallica, Ozzy Osborne, U2 and others. On 23 October 2009, it was announced that Eric cancelled his appearance as he needed a minor medical procedure for gall stones. On 27 October, the Rock Hall announced Jeff Beck with special guests would perform in Eric’s stead.
