Eric Clapton made a guest appearance backing Smokey Robinson on "Later … with Jools Holland". Broadcast live on BBC 2 on Tuesdays (this date), the show repeats in a longer version with pre-recorded segments on Friday evenings. Eric’s appearance was identical in both airings.
Eric was a last minute surprise guest when Smokey’s regular guitarist fell ill.
