Show Notes:

The day-long Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday Tribute (11 hours) at London’s Wembley Stadium was broadcast on radio and television worldwide. Organized by Artists Against Apartheid, it was in support of the Anti-Apartheid movement. In America, it was billed as “Freedomfest” as the network broadcasting it refused to use the concert title. It is also referred to as the “Free Nelson Mandela Concert”.
