This was the first concert cancelled following Eric’s hospitalization in St. Paul, Minnesota for stomach ulcers, one of which was close to bursting. All remaining dates in the 57 date US Tour were cancelled. EC would spend the next several months recovering. His next public appearance would be in September at “The Secret Policeman’s Other Ball” Concerts for Amnesty International.
