C.F. Martin & Company will issue a limited edition acoustic guitar co-designed by Eric Clapton and Hiroshi Fujiwara, a renowned Japanese DJ, composer and fashion designer. It is the fifth in a suite of Eric Clapton / C.F. Martin models. It has been designated 000-ECHF and will be available in January 2005. C.F. Martin & Company initially built eight of these unique custom guitars. One can be seen on the cover of Eric's newest CD, "Me & Mr. Johnson." This model served as Eric's main stage acoustic during his 2003 Japan Tour and his European and US 2004 Tours.

On 9 August 2004, Eric Clapton was inducted into Hollywood's "RockWalk Museum" located within the Guitar Center in a private ceremony. The award was in recognition of his astonishing career, his achievements as a guitarist and entertainer, and his ongoing contribution to music. Clapton received a commemorative plaque and had his hands and signature imprinted in terrazzo marble.
On 4 August 2004 at the House of Blues, Los Angeles, Eric Clapton was a guest performer at a very special musical evening. Coming hot on the heals of their CD, The Crickets - JJ Allison, Joe B. ABKCO Records is preparing the Rolling Stones' film "Rock and Roll Circus" for DVD release. It's tentatively scheduled for 4th Quarter 2004. The December 1968 concert was filmed for a television special, although it was never broadcast, because the Stones were not happy with their performance. In 1996, ABKCO released a CD, videocassette and laserdisc of the event, which also featured performances by the Who, Jethro Tull, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull and the Dirty Mac, a supergroup comprising John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards and Mitch Mitchell.
Bruce Hornsby's new CD is entitled "Halcyon Days". His first Columbia Records release, it will be in retail stores Tuesday, 17 August 2004. The first single, "Gonna Be Some Changes Made" will begin regular radio airplay on 29 June. Sting sings a duet with Bruce on the lead track and first radio single, "Gonna Be Some Changes Made" and Elton John does the honors on "Dreamland". Eric Clapton plays on three tracks and contributes vocals on "Candy Mountain Run". The Hornsby band is represented in full force - J.V. Collier, Sonny Emory, Bobby Read, Doug Derryberry, and John "JT" Thomas.
[Press Release / Polydor - Universal Music] Cream's seminal Disraeli Gears album from 1967 will receive the Deluxe Edition treatment on September 13th, adding a variety of bonus and live tracks. It had been scheduled for release a year ago, but put back while a search for unreleased live material for possible use on the set was made. Sadly, nothing came of it.
Five years ago, on 24 June 1999, Christie's New York auctioned off a selection of Eric Clapton's guitars which raised over $5 million for the Crossroads Centre in Antigua. This evening - 24 June 2004, Christie's presented the sequel by selling the cream of Eric Clapton's collection along with instruments donated by his musician friends.
