Eric Clapton And John Mayer Assist Hurricane Katrina Efforts On CNN

Eric Clapton was joined by John Mayer for a special acoustic performance of "Broken Hearted" on CNN's "How You Can Help" broadcast. It was hosted on CNN by Larry King on Saturday evening - 3 September, 2005. The men performed live from CNN's New York City studios. "Broken Hearted" is from Clapton's 1998 CD, "Pilgrim". The show aired live from 8PM to 11PM EST.

Eric Clapton To Participate In U.S. Hurricane Relief Show On CNN

It was announced on Friday that Eric Clapton will participate in a three-hour CNN Television Special hosted by Larry King on Saturday, 3 September 2005. The show will air on the U.S. cable channel from 8PM to 11PM. The goal of the show is to not only aid Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, but assist people trying to locate loved ones who are missing. Othe celebrities scheduled to appear include Harry Connick Jr., Celine Dion, Bill Cosby, John Goodman, LeAnn Rimes, Clay Aiken, Magic Johnson and Terri Hatcher.
