Review by Tappy / Japan
The final night, Eric started with his greeting "Konbanwa". The full audience stood at the same time.
"I Shot the Sheriff" and "Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad" were so nice and so emotional and I grew excited at my feelings. "Before You Accuse Me" was expressed with the rhythm in a comfortable shuffle and the solo of Eric also ran lightly about the space of hall. The audience and the band were integrated with the last two songs – "Layla" and "Cocaine." There was very interactive atmosphere with good reaction.
Thanks to Eric, I spent a dream-like February and I left the Budoukan with a feeling of satisfaction. Eric, please come again anytime and please let me hear your blues. I sincerely hope for it.

Bear this in mind – tonight, I am not your trustworthyl reporter. Why? Because I had to struggle to keep myself awake all through the show. After the show last night, I spent a couple of hours with a dozen of other EC fans at an "Izakaya" (i.e. casual restaurant-cum-pub) nearby the concert site. It was a fun time, but with so much eating, drinking and chatting, I found I couldn’t sleep well with the excitement from the show as well as the conversation still vibrating in me after I was back in the hotel room. Today, as a result, I was weary and tired up to the show time and further beyond.
Discounting the shape I was in, my general feeling toward EC’s final show in Japan this time round was a kind of slow-burner. EC and the band played well, but it wasn’t what you call "one of the greatest ever," "out of this world," "a night to remember" etc. in my humble opinion. On some occasions, Eric threw a thunderous solo, as in the introduction of "Little Queen Of Spades," shoving my napping head to wake me up. But, the entire performance finished without Eric stepping into the real "red zone."
Some fans I talked to after the show said, "It was a very good show." One of them even commented, "Better than last night." How could I have argued against them when I was in such a dizzy state of mind, eh?
