From the moment I saw on Where’s Eric! that Eric Clapton will perform in Vienna, I knew we have to go (although we live 1000 km away, in Romania). So, it took me only 10 seconds to buy tickets, knowing that we will hear ‘God’ playing. And so it was: Slowhand appeared as I imagined, an imposing and discreet man. I have not enough words to express the emotion I felt from the first touch of his guitar (you should see my husband’s eyes when Eric played “Key to the highway”!). I filled my soul with his voice and his image and his heavenly playing hands, try not to think that we won’t see him again. But I’ll always listen to his outstanding creation and for evermore I’ll have “Pretending” & “Hoochie coochie…” & “Wonderful…” & “Tears… ” & “Cocaine” and every masterpiece that fills my heart with joy and delight. I love you, Mr.Clapton, and all I can do is make a bow and deeply thank you for the romance and your honesty you shared with us. God bless you and give you good health and strength for the years to come.

WOW! I cannot even describe what happened this evening! Eric was simply amazing. It was my first (and probably the last) show, so excuse me if I am somewhat biased, but Eric was truly on fire tonight!

The highlight of the night for me was Little Queen of Spades – first a stunning solo by Chris Stainton on keyboards, and then Eric blew me away with his solo! Also, watching Andy dancing and doing air drums next to the stage really made me laugh! The whole band seemed to be enjoying themselves tonight.

Eric didn’t speak much, the usual thank-you’s and a little wave to the audience when he was coming back for the encore. Although he did smile and nod when someone from the first rows shouted “Eric, we love you!”.

The only thing I didn’t like – it was too short! But I could probably listen to him all night, so nothing is enough for me. Also, I would prefer Gin House instead of Wonderful Tonight, but the audience responded really well to it. All in all, great show! It was the night I’ll be remembering for a long time!

Where’s Eric!
