I caught my 80th EC show in Seoul, in my thirty-seven years’ concert-going to his performances. When the lights were put off, it was only a couple of minutes past seven, the scheduled opening time. I assume it was because of the weekend curfew, nine o’clock presumably.Eric, along with the other band members, took the stage, greeted by a raucous crowd, just like last time. But, from my seat, thirteenth row, dead center, he looked tired and didn’t seem to be in the best of his condition to be honest with you. This was the last and filth show of his Asian tour, and moving continuously a long way across the vast terrain of the continent apparently started to take its toll. But my worries soon vanished away. The show progressed in the same vein as four years ago, basically. That is Eric was blown away by the audience. The audience was blown away by Eric. And I was blown away by both.

The responses the Koreans gave were as hot and spicy as some Korean food! In fact, the show was not so much led by the performers as the audience, to some degree. There was more than one occasion that Eric and the band members were clearly awestruck by their overwhelming behavior. It didn’t took long that a tired Eric fed off the energy and smiles took over on his face. Highlights were many. In fact, every song was a highlight in some way or other. The most impressive among them were Old Love, Sheriff, Driftin’, Same Old Blues, the "re-plugged" Layla, Badge, Before You Accuse me, Little Queen Of Spades and Cocaine (the loudest ever collective shout of "Cocaine!" I have heard so far). And no time for setlist whiners here, this was only the fourth Korean show Eric had ever played. How could have the audience become tired of Wonderful Tonight?

After an adrenalin-induced two-hour performance, the show wound up. As Eric walked off, he turned around sideways to the audience, and made two thumbs up again! Two thumbs up on two consecutive visits to Seoul! I’ve never seen him doing that, even one thumb up, at any other shows, Budokan or RAH, anywhere! That alone was an eloquent statement how much the Korean audience meant to him. All the Eric fans around the world, if you are dying for the greatest ever EC show on earth, go to Seoul and look no further. And to all the Korean fans of Eric, he gave you two thumbs up. Let me tell you again, Kamsahamnida!

I saw Eric in Seoul on 20 February and in the 3rd row. I went to the show in Hong Kong first and then moved to Seoul. This time, he wore a checked blue colored shirt made by visvim.I heard that most of rock music fans in Korea are mad and worried about that. But the concert turned out very nice. Korean audience exactly knows when to warm or shout and when to calm down. So, I enjoyed throughout the show. Eric looked tired at first but he gradually warmed up because of the great audience. He had a big fire when he played Old Love and I Shot The Sheriff. And then moved to sit-down set. Nobody Knows You was one of the songs that he got a big applause. Condition of ES335 was really good and it made the show more interesting.

I moved to the first row when he played Cocaine because a lot of people tried to come to the first row. I can’t forget the moment when he said Wow! during Cocaine. Because people shouted COCAINE! very nice, maybe he was surprised to see that. Then in a very good mood, encore song called Crossroads was played. I think this was the best Eric’s concert I’ve ever seen. I saw him 5 times but he was in the best condition this time thanks to the audience in Korea. So, I’d like to thank all the audience in Korea.
