Review by Jussi Torvinen
EC and his band started their Scandinavian tour in a soldout (9,000) Hartwall Arena. Too bad there was no proper opening acts; I´d have loved to see Andy Fairweather-Low & Co. for example. All the previous gigs I´ve seen -1998 (Pilgrim), 2001 (Reptile), 2006 (Back Home) – were played in this Arena too. The setlist was more or less the same as the previous concerts at the Royal Albert Hall in May and the band was on top form! Great solos from EC and Carmon / Stainton on keyboards – they were not holding back either. Absolute highlights for me were Old Love, Driftin, Badge and Little Queen of Spades. EC was changing the sound from clean to distorted on many long solos.
