In a two plus hour show, "Voodoo Chile" remained the killer song of the evening. The duo tweaked the set list again, replacing "Going Down Slow" with "Key To The Highway" and "Split Decision" with "Gimme Some Lovin’".

Best concert in my life! It was my third Clapton concert, after one at the Albert Hall last May and the first special night at the O2 with Jeff Beck this February. The whole band was on fire from the beginning, with great solos on "Had To Cry Today." The "After Midnight / Presence Of The Lord" medley was great too, with a stunning wah wah solo on the second. Fantastic solos from both Steve Winwood and Chris Stainton on "Glad", an absolute highlight was Steve Gadd’s drumming on "Well Alright". "Tough Luck" was nothing but Eric’s song, with many solos and great singing, followed by a nice section with Steve giving his best on Hammond and voice on "While You See A Chance", "Midland Maniac" and "Georgia". Here’s the first change in the setlist, with "Key To The Highway" replacing "Going Down Slow" (which replaced "Forever Man" at the Antwerp concert). It was moving to see Eric singing along when they played "Midland Maniac", it’s evident that he loves the song. Heartbreaking acoustic section with renditions of "Driftin’", "How Long", "Layla" (everyone in the audience was singing) and Blind Faith’s "Can’t Find My Way Home". Now comes the huge surprise, with "Gimme Some Lovin’" replacing "Split Decision". Nothing to say about "Voodoo Chile", a masterpiece; the definitive highlight of the concert in a night of highlights.They closed the main set with the usual "Cocaine", strong as usual, coming back to the stage for "Dear Mr. Fantasy", with the two men trading solos. Too short, everybody wanted more!
