The set was almost the same as RAH without "Lost and Found", "Everybody oughta"…"Anyday" was back. Very impressive start with Pretending, great solos of DT and Doyle (and Eric as well). We have had a great version of "Old love" with Robert Cray. The Band sounded very well, good job from backing vocals also. The highlights are: Anyday, Back home (thanks to the horns section), Old Love (as mentioned with Robert Cray!), I shot the sherif (great Drum intro), I am yours, After midnight (Steve Jordan speed train), Motherless Children (Doyle & Eric slide duet, Steve Jordan Train’ again).
Eric has found a new band which is perfect, Derek Trucks is a famous slide guitar player, I’m sure !

The Robert Cray Band were brilliant and what a band for a warm up!!!! Then Clapton and his band came on and started with a brilliant Pretending with a very cool solo from Eric, Derek and Doyle. I had never seen Derek before and boy can he play!!!! I also thought that Doyle’s guitar was strange with the strings in the opposite order then usual ( Low E at the bottom and upwards towards the HIgh E). After Eric and the rest of the band continued with other brilliant tracks such as I shot the sheriff and Old Love. As Eric started Wonderful tonight whole Bercy was lit with lighters!!!! During a quick break in between Wonderful tonight and Laya just the time to change Guitars , the crowd started to request Layla, and Eric heard them and started to play the song. The audience went crazy as did I.
After Layla he finished with Cocaine. They left the Stage and came back for the Encore and played Crossroads where everyone had a little solo, which was cool.
I really enjoyed the fact that Eric Clapton also lets his band members have their "solos" like Derek and Doyle but also the piano solos from Chris Stainton and Tim Carmon, who were both Amazing!!! It was my first Eric Clapton concert live, because i have seen all the dvds and this is the first time i managed to get tickets. I have to say it was the best concert of the year that i have seen so far, completely blew Steve Vai, Robert Plant and Iggy Pop away, and all thought im a big Red Hot Chilli Peppers Fan, i don’t think they’ll be able to do better then Eric Clapton. I hope Eric Clapton will still be around for a long time, he is my ultimate hero and he has forever marked music History!!!

What to say? Again a great great show from EC and friends. I’ve been to Birmingham on the 11th of May but to me Paris was far better, sound quality better, atmosphere better too. The set list’s just brilliant the mix of old and recent songs is just great. Thanks for "old love" with Robert Cray i pray for that one after I read they did it at the RAH on the last night.
To me the highlights of the show GOT TO GET BETTER IN A LITTLE WHILE, OLD LOVE, MILCOW, ANYDAY, COCAINE and CROSSROADS but all songs played really nothing to bin. My only regret if i can have one is REVOLUTION i would have liked to hear it live. I’m going to Antwerpen on Wednesday maybe he’ll play it.
Continue that way Eric you’re still the best of the west, your students Doyle and Derek aren’t bad too as the rest of the band.
Review by Alican Gercek / Turkey
I bought the tickets 4 months before the show. I hardly waited the date of the concert. I have gone to Paris from Turkey just for listening to "God". The area was very crowded before the show; at 20.00 light were off and another
hero Robert Cray appeared on the stage. I really excited when I first see him.The sound of Robert Cray’s guitar and the band was very low. He played couple of his nice songs.
After 15 minutes stage, was ready for Eric Clapton. He appeared with his nice casual clothes. He has still look young man and he was happy and ready for his show. He started with Pretending – sound was incredibbly good. I was nearly ready to cry when I first see him, because I had been waiting that moment since all my life.
The acoustic set was very nice and succesful. The song I Am Yours was very good, emotional and Eric’s voice was crystal clear. And after Unplugged (1992) listening Nobody Knows was very fantastic. There are a lot of things to write but I’m still in a dream and I thanking to God for let me see Eric Clapton in my life. ERIC YOUR THE ONE IN THE WORLD. PLEASE KEEP ON PLAY THE SAME OLD BLUES…
