Two wonderful nights! Lucca and Perugia had the same setlist, but a concert of EC is never the same. In the first place they did soundcheck in the afternoon. Later I met Tim Carmon who told me it was necessary after a break of a month – and made fantastic noises for two hours! The highlights were "Got To Get Better" for me and "Wonderful Tonight" for my wife.I don’t agree with some reviews about the sound. It was clear, obviously it depends of your position. In Lucca i wasn’t too near EC and i could hear all magnificently. Horns were important in songs such "So Tired" and After Midnight". Eric was GOD, the king of music, great voice, incredible solos. The band was perfect, I think Doyle and Derek succeeded in inspiring him, they play from the heart. Also the others were very good, congratulations for Weeks and Jordan, very good even if they were new. The highlights on the second show were more than 15 minutes of "Old Love" with solos from Eric, Robert Cray (two nice and different shows like opening act), Doyle, Derek and Tim; "I Am Yours;" "After Midnight" and a faster "Crossroad.". I’m sure that Eric Clapton is the most complete artist I know because he touches all genres of music. Thanx for all.

Review by Andrea Rossi from Perugia (Italy)
What a concert! A great night in Perugia with EC that played very well in all his masterpieces. The band was fantastic, very good Steve Jordan on drums and Derek with his slide guitar.

I was in the first rows in front of the stage, the sound was very clear.
Eric Clapton started at 21.30 with a powerful version of "Pretending". The setlist was ok, with a lots of old songs as "Everybody Oughta Make A Change" and "Motherless Children" and gems from his album of 1970 with Derek and the Dominoes". Old Love was amazing, an extended version of over ten minutes with Robert Cray.

In the middle of the concert there was the acoustic set, 4 songs with a great feeling.

The second part was perfect, with an awesome version of "Little Queen of Spades", a classic blues waited from all the fans. Then a very good version of "Let it rain" and "Wonderful Tonight". The more classics songs of EC "Layla" and "Cocaine" were played very good and gave off a lot of energy. For the encore with Robert Cray, Eric played "Crossroads", in a fantastic version very strong! Thanks Eric and the band for this special night!!!

Where’s Eric!
