Venue and weather gave this great event the perfect frames. It doesn’t get any better or tighter than "Got to get better in a little while". It’s great to witness one of the "Old Guys" still evolving though never forgetting the roots and make room for new generations. We love the history, but we also need to get on, and Eric knows it. If any of the band members stand out or should be mentioned especially it would be Derek Trucks and his amazing guitar technique.

Robert cray truly is a great singer/guitarplayer. He gave a 40 min set wich inclueded "I was warned" "Bad influence" "Phonebooth" and 2 numbers from his latest album called "Twenty"

My first highligt of the evening was "I shot the sheriff". what a great solo from EC and great drumming from Jordan. GTGBILW was fine whit solos fra DT an DB. Doyle Bramhall playd fantastic, he truly is one of the best players ever… how about a new record from doyle??

Old love whith Robert cray was played in the same way as on the record with solos from EC RC and Tim Carmon (Ginger Baker) Tim Actualy started his solo with Sunshine of your love and the rest of the band quikly followed. All looking at eachother like there were thinking "this is not happening" after the solo EC presented Tim Carmon as Ginger Baker to a big ammusement to the rest of the band.

The sit down set hightlight was Runing on faith. The slide work from Derek Trucks was fantastic

LQOS was my highlight of the night. The unbelievable drunk guy that was standing on my feet for most of the show had finaly left…. DT was EXELENT on this song. Further op on the road was a nice song instead of "Let it rain" Wonderfull tonight, Layla and Cocaine was playd well. Doyle had to poke to DT which then had to get EC’s attention to end Doyles solo in Cocaine….

Crossroads was great, with Robert Cray singin’ first vers, EC the second and both of them singin the third in the same microphone. Long solos from DT DB RC and offcouse EC…How come the show is not 6 hours long?

Last night i saw EC in Augustenborg Slotspark. PERFECT AND FANTASTIC CONCERT!!! The set list was the same as Hamburg.

The surroundings and weather was perfect. And the sound was perfect.
Robert Cray opened with a half hour set which was very very good. I’ve always looked forward to see the Robert Cray Band and was not dissapointed. And a little unusual for an opening act, the sound was very good, and they caught the attention of the 10.000 crowd. Just a shame he didn’t play for longer…
Apart from that there’s little more to say which hasnt’ been said. Sheriff was blistering as well as Old Love ("by mistake" EC announced Tim Carmon as Ginger Baker with reference to the Sunshine Of Your Love rifs during the solo) and Little Queen Of Spades. Everybody Oughta Make A Change / Motherless Children almost one uptempo song.

From time to time it’s almost as if there’s too many people on stage. 3 superb guitarist (and Robert), 2 keyboards and a horn section creates what has been described as a wall of sound. Little fine details easily gets lost. BUT still it was a perfect concert. No doubt!!!

It was a great evening/night. After a very hot day the trees shadowed the venue and at 8:00 p.m. the support act with Robert Cray Band started the festive. It was smooth and nice set with Robert’s perfect voice for this kind of music. After about 30 min. break the band entered the stage 9:10 p.m. at started out with Pretending that reminded me of the version form "24 nights". And right into "I shot The Sheriff" – which was great to hear again in a live version. Next peak in the gig was "Old Love" – with 4 guitars on the stage (including Robert Cray) this was just breathtaking. All had their solo and it was just fantastic. The sit down set calmed the things down (in a positive way!) but temperatures raised again with "Nobody knows you…" and especially "Running on Faith". My favorite this night was "Little Queen of Spades." What a brilliant act!!! I love the Robert Johnson stuff that Eric has done and this was so great I cannot describe it. If there will be an album from this tour this MUST be in. Doyle and Derek are also fantastic guitar players and it was a great joy to hear them "takin’ it away". The rest of the concert was "a safe bet" – but nevertheless done in the best way and the numbers are "a must" in a EC set list. I had looked forward to Layla and Crossroads. We (my son and I) were not disappointed.

All in all a VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY great evening with a lot to take with us "back home". Blues rules!!
