This performance marked Eric Clapton’s 100th Performance at the Royal Albert Hall. It also served as a fundraiser for Children In Crisis, which was founded by the Duchess of York in Spring 1993. At the end of the show, a cascade of red and black balloons proclaiming “Congratulations Eric on 100 Shows” fell from the ceiling during “Layla.” Pete Townshend, Nathan East, Mike Rutherford, Jeff Beck and Roger Waters attended the concert, but did not perform.
