At the 35th Annual Grammy Awards, Eric was nominated for 9 awards, although 2 of his nominations were in the same category (Best Song Written Specifically For A Motion Picture or Television – “Tears In Heaven” and “It’s Probably Me”). Eric took home 6 Grammy Awards. They were:

The awards was broadcast live in the United States on CBS-TV.

To attend, Eric moved one of his Albert Hall performances to the end of his annual run at the venue. He then travelled to LA after the show on 23 February and returned to London to pick up on his solo performances on 26 February.
