The "Silver Clef Award Winners Concert" was a day-long music festival to benefit Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy at Knebworth Park. Also on the bill were Phil Collins / Genesis, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, Robert Plant, Cliff Richard & The Shadows, Status Quo and Tears For Fears.
The event was carried live on BBC Radio 1 and on numerous U.S. radio stations via the Westwood One network. In subsequent years, Westwood One repackaged many of the performances as part of their "Superstar Concert Series".
Filmed in its entirety, highlights were broadcast via ITN and MTV. It was released to the home video market as a 3-tape VHS set and later released on a 2 DVD set. A double CD of highlights was also released to raise funds for the charity.
