The venue was closed and demolished in 2002.
The Capital Centre was located in Landover, a suburb east of Washington DC. Some sources place the venue in Largo. It’s official street address was always 1 Harry S. Truman Drive, Landover. The communities of Landover and Largo border each other in an unincorporated area of Prince George’s County. A shopping mall built on the site after the venue was demolished had a Largo street address. Over time, the land the venue was situated on has shifted postal address and census designations.
