Show Notes:

It is possible this gig never happened. Although listed in several noted works and websites, including “Eric Clapton Day By Day: The Early Years 1963-1982,” (published 2013, Marc Roberty); it is not included in others such as, “Strange Brew: Eric Clapton & The British Blues Boom” (published 2007, Christopher Hjort) which sometimes site the venue as “War Memorial Stadium,” which was located almost 2 hours away in Manhattan, KS.

An extremely detailed tour itinerary sold by Alexander Historical Auctions on October 31, 2021 does not have this concert listed. The itinerary has Blind Faith, Delaney & Bonnie and Taste returning to New York City following the concert in Baltimore on July 20th, with Delaney & Bonnie and Taste departing New York by bus on July 24 for Milwaukee and Blind Faith flying to Milwaukee from New York on United Airlines Flight 441 at 3:20PM on July 26, the day of the concert but it could be an early version without this concert as it is not dated. However, no local newspaper advertisements, reviews or photographs for a Kansas City concert can be found by WE! as of February 2025.
