The band was incredibly busy at this time and management was booking gigs with little time off. The evening before, Cream played two 45 minute sets between 8pm and 11pm at Sheffield University. Immediately after, they drove to Manchester (62 km /39 miles) for an all night gig, with two 30 minute sets between 2am-4am. Then, this gig happened from 7pm to 10:30pm in Coventry (173 km / 108 miles from Manchester).
