Thanks to Ray Martinez of The Berkeley Squares for letting the WE! Team know they were the support band for this date.

Mr. Martinez remembers the gig being at Leiceister University, while information discovered by music historian / author Marc Roberty indicate the gig was at Il Rondo in Silver Street. As it was a less formal time, gig locations sometimes changed. It’s also possible the location was recorded incorrectly in some sources at the time as Il Rondo was a regular stop for The Yardbirds when performing in the city.

The Berkeley Squares, based in Leiceister, were Barry Wade (vocals), Ray Martinez (lead guitar & vocals),Dave Eldredge (keyboard,guitar & vocals), Leigh Catterall (bass guitar & vocals) & Terry Abbs (drums).
