Prior to mid-April and a name change to “The Star Club,” Giorgio Gomelsky, the first manager of The Rolling Stones and The Yardbirds operated a second Crawdaddy Club at The Star Hotel in London Road, Croydon. After mid-month, the only Crawdaddy Club operating was the one at the Richmond Athletic Association Grounds in Richmond-upon-Thames.
