Jerry Lee Lewis headlined the show, supported by a number of bands, including Gene Vincent (backed by The Plebs) and The Yardbirds.
The Golders Green Hippodrome was built in 1913 as a music hall, to serve North London. The venue is situated at corner of North End Road and Hoop Lane in the London Borough of Barnet.
Taken over by the BBC in the 1960s as a television studio, it was later put to use as a radio studio and multi-purpose concert venue. In 2007, it became an church building.
