The Yardbirds supported Cyril Davies’ All-Stars. Cyril had passed away at age 31 on 7 January. The All-Stars were lead in the interim by one of its members, Long John Baldry. Later in the year, the group would become Long John Baldry and His Hoochie Coochie Men. At this time, the Marquee Club was still at its original location on Oxford Street.
