Edwina’s Club was a short-lived but significant North London music venue on Seven Sisters Road in Finsbury Park, operating in the early 1960s during the blues and R&B boom. It competed with other key clubs of the period, such as the Crawdaddy Club and the Ricky-Tick, and quickly became part of the same emerging circuit that nurtured many future stars of the British blues scene. The Yardbirds played the club’s grand opening on 8 November 1963, shortly after Eric had joined the band the previous month.
