In 1962, Eric Clapton was an aspiring musician. He would not make it his full-time career and turn professional until October 1963 when he joined The Yardbirds.
During the Fall and Winter of 1962, EC, sometimes accompanied by guitarist Dave Brock (one of the founder members of Hawkwind), played in the folk pubs, clubs and coffeehouses around Kingston and Richmond. Confirmed venues include The Crown in Kingston and L’Auberge in Richmond.
