Renowned Irish singer-songwriter and musician, Paul Brady, joined Eric for three songs in the acoustic set.
The acoustic set included the folk song “Sam Hall” honored Sanborn, who passed away the previous Sunday, 12 May. Eric first worked with the legendary saxophonist in 1983 and, along with Michael Kamen, went on to score all of the soundtracks for the Lethal Weapon film franchise. They performed together many times, including the 1997 Legends Jazz Tour and the 1999 Crossroads Concert at Madison Square Garden. David also played on Eric’s 1990 album, Journeyman.
The encore song, “That’s Alright,” by Jimmy Rogers was performed in honor of the 100th anniversary of his birth in June.
