White, Sharon “Shar”

Sharon “Shar” White is a vocalist based out of the U.K. Born on 13 January 1972, she moved to London at age 15 to pursue her musical career. In 1989, she signed with Jive Records and enjoyed chart success.

Shar can be heard on numerous albums, including those by a wide variety of artists. In 2003, she toured with Bryan Ferry. She has also worked extensively with Annie Lennox and Joss Stone.

She joined Eric Clapton’s band in 2004, and along with Michelle John, has become an integral part of Eric’s recording and touring bands. Sharon has been along for all post-2004 tours and part of the Clapton and Winwood tours in 2009 and 2010.

Sharon can be heard on Eric’s 2005 CD, Back Home. She is also featured in the DVDs from all five of Eric’s Crossroads Guitar Festivals (2004 / 2007 / 2010 / 2013 / 2019).
