Andy Newmark was born on 14 July 1950. Andy worked with Sly & The Family Stone for a year and can be heard on the album, Fresh. Early in his career, he worked with John Lennon, Yoko Ono, George Harrison and Badfinger. Later credits include David Bowie, Roxy Music, David Sanborn, Luther Vandross, Carly Simon, George Benson, Grand Funk, Bob James, Carole King, Liona Boyd, Steve Winwood and many others.
Andy worked with Eric Clapton during the Pros & Cons Of Hitchhiking sessions for Roger Waters in 1983. He then signed on for the U.S. leg of the Nothin’ But The Blues Tour in 1994.
