Guest Appearances by other musicians at Eric Clapton’s Concerts

Other musicians occasionally "guest star" during Eric Clapton’s concert performances, but this is a bit of a rarity. In most cases of recent vintage, the "guest" was the support act. During EC’s summer tour of 2008, Robert Randolph would regularly join in on the encore, “I’ve Got My Mojo Working” on the dates where his band served as support. Likewise, when Randolph opened for Eric during the European and US tour of 2004, he sat in for the encores, "Sunshine Of Your Love" and "Got My Mojo Working". On the three final nights of Eric Clapton’s spring 2009 tour, Doyle Bramhall II of the Arc Angels joined Eric and his band on stage.

In 2006, on many evenings of the European Tour and all nights on the U.S. / Canada Tour, tour support Robert Cray, joined Eric on stage for "Old Love" and "Crossroads". In 2007, Robert Cray stepped out for "Crossroads" on a nightly basis for the U.S. / Canada dates.

In 1998, Bonnie Raitt and Jimmie Vaughan took turns opening the show and would join Eric on stage during the encore. Vaughan did the same while opening for Clapton during the blues tour of 1995 and on select dates in the US during 2004.
