Grammy Hall of Fame Award

The Grammy Hall Of Fame Award was established by the Recording Academy’s National Trustees in 1973 to honor recordings of lasting qualitative or historical significance that are at least 25 years old. Four of Eric’s recordings have been honored. They are:

“I Shot The Sheriff” (Eric Clapton) in the Rock Single category (2003)

Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs (Derek & The Dominos) in the Rock Album category (2000)

Disraeli Gears (Cream) in the Rock Album category (1999)

“Layla” (Derek & The Dominos) in the Rock Single category (1998)
