Grammy Awards – All Awarded To Eric Clapton

Eric Clapton has been recognized by the Recording Academy at the Grammy Awards Ceremony, held each year in the United States, a total of 18 times. He has won or shared in 17 Grammy Awards for recorded works. Six were received in 1992. In 2006, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award along with Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce for their pioneering work in the band, Cream.

The Grammy is the U.S. recording industry’s most prestigious award. Since 1957, awards have been presented annually by the Recording Academy. Grammys are awarded by and to artists and technical professionals for artistic or technical achievement and overall excellence in the recording industry. They are peer-to-peer awards and are not based on sales or chart positions.

Best Pop Instrumental Performance for “Reptile” [track] (2001). Awarded to Eric Clapton.

Best Traditional Blues Album or Best Traditional Blues Recording for the album, Riding With The King (2000). Awarded to Eric Clapton, B.B. King and Simon Climie, producer.

Best Rock Instrumental Performance for “The Calling” (2000). Awarded to Santana (Carlos Santana, Rodney Holmes, Tony Lindsay, Karl Perazzo, Raul Rekow, Benny Rietveld, Chester Thompson) and Eric Clapton. The track appears on Santana’s CD, Supernatural.

Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for “My Father’s Eyes” (1998). Awarded to Eric Clapton.
