Sheryl Crow was born 11 February 1962 in Kennett, Missouri. She began playing piano at age 6. Following college, she taught music while pursuing a career in music.

A successful singer / songwriter, Sheryl began her career as a back-up vocalist for Don Henley, Rod Stewart, and Michael Jackson. Her career took off in 1994 with the release of Tuesday Night Music Club. The singles “If It Makes You Happy,” “Everyday Is A Winding Road,” and “A Change Would Do You Good” were huge radio hits. The album also earned several Grammy Awards. Future albums also reached platinum status and spawned huge hits like “My Favorite Mistake,” “Anything But Down,” and “Soak Up The Sun”.

Sheryl first shared the stage with Eric Clapton on 16 October 1992 when she was a back-up vocalist at the Bob Dylan Tribute Concert popularly known as “BobFest”. Sheryl performed with Eric at Luciano Pavarotti’s War Child Benefit in 1996. And later on Eric’s anonymous release TDF’s Retail Therapy . Other live performances with Eric include the Armani Party in September 1996, a a Special Olympics benefit in December 1998 and at Eric’s benefit concert for the Crossroads Centre, Antigua on 30 June 1999. Eric returned the favor by appearing with Sheryl at Central Park In Blue on 14 September 1999, which benefitted the Pediatric AIDS Foundation.  She also appeared at the 2007 Crossroads Festival where she and Eric performed "Tulsa Time".
