With his 1994 CD From The Cradle, Eric Clapton played homage to the blues. When listening to the CD, it is clear that Eric’s inspiration for some songs came from a recording by someone other than the original artist. Clear examples of this are Muddy Waters’ version of “Hoochie Coochie Man”, Otis Rush’s “Groaning The Blues”, Elmore James on “Blues Before Sunrise”, and Ray Charles for “Sinner’s Prayer”.
