The Yardbirds Ultimate: New Anthology Due 17 July 2001

The Yardbirds get the anthology treatment once again with the 17 July 2001 release of "The Yardbirds: Ultimate!"on Rhino Records. For the first time, a Yardbirds collection will intclude tracks recorded by Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page during their respective tenures with the band. The 50-song two-disc set spans 1963 -1968 and includes such faves as "The Train Kept A-Rollin’" and "Shapes of Things," as well as their bluesy side with such selections as "I’m a Man" and "I Wish You Would."
