Michelle John Tonight On The Voice UK

[13 March Update:  Michelle made it through the Live Knockout Round on Saturday, 11 March. She now heads to the Quarter Finals on The Voice UK.]

Michelle John, a backing vocalist for EC, is fighting to keep her place on The Voice UK tonight, 11 March. If you live in the UK, be sure to tune in to ITV at 8:30pm. (Unfortunately, due to her continued success on the show, she won’t be part of the band for the Spring 2017 concerts.)

The public can vote for their favourites for free using the official The Voice UK app. IOS and Android versions can be downloaded here. 

Tonight’s show is part of the live knockout rounds where the six remaining acts in each team are halved. At the conclusion of the broadcast, the public votes for their favourites and those votes determine two of the acts that go through to the quarter-final. Each judge will then pick their favourite act for the final place in their team.

Early in her journey, Michelle said she’s looking to step out of the shadows and into the spotlight singing her songs as a solo artist. Michelle brought down the house with her spin on “It’s A Man’s Man’s World” during her blind audition and has wowed the judges and viewers in her subsequent appearances. Part of #TeamWill, her mentor will.i.am told her after her audition, “Your voice grabbed me. Your voice reached out and pushed the button. I didn’t push the button, you pushed it. Your voice hijacked me.”
