LISTEN HERE! In 1977, Eric Clapton went into the studio to record his 5th solo album with Jamie Oldaker on drums, Carl Radle on Bass, George Terry on Guitar, Dick Sims on Keyboards, and Marcy Levy and Yvonne Elliman on vocals. What came out was an album called “Slowhand.” For the record’s 35th anniversary, Universal is putting out a deluxe version with 4 new studio songs, and selected songs from a 1977 concert at the Hammersmith Odeon in London a week before the band went into the studio. The SuperDeluxe version has the entire concert included. Over the next hour, we’ll let Eric take you behind the scenes along with Jamie Oldaker & Marcy Levy, now Marcella Detroit. Host Dan Neer celebrates “Slowhand at 35.”
