Lethal Weapon Soundtrack Collection Available

Available for the first time in one collection are the four Lethal Weapon Soundtracks composed by Eric Clapton, Michael Kamen and David Sanborn. The 8-CD release is limited to 3,000 units. Each Lethal Weapon score is contained in its own 2-CD jewel case, and all four scores, along with a 40-Page booklet, are housed in a slip case. The scores to Lethal Weapon 1-3 have been expanded beyond their original soundtrack album presentations (the original soundtrack assemblies are remastered and presented as well) and the score from Lethal Weapon 4 makes its world premiere with this set.

Produced by Neil S. Bulk and MV Gerhard and mastered by James Nelson from Warner Brothers vault materials for La-La Land Records, previously unreleased score music is included along with bonus score tracks and songs by Eric Clapton and Sting, Eric Clapton and Elton John, George Harrison, The Beach Boys and more — not to mention the Bobby Helms rendition of “Jingle Bell Rock,” which opens the original Lethal Weapon film.

The Lethal Weapon film series started Mel Gibson and Danny Glover as a pair of L.A.P.D. detectives and were directed by Richard Donner. They are among the most successful buddy-cop action films of all-time.

La-La Land Records  specializes in film and television soundtracks. This limited edition set was put together with Warner Brothers and WEA to celebrate Warner Brothers’ 90th Anniversary.

NOTE: All of, or portions of, the following four tracks from LETHAL WEAPON 3 were mastered from film stem sources (as no other elements could be located) and are of lesser sound quality than the rest of the presentation, which was mastered from pristine analog and digital WB vault materials.  Disc 5: 10.
