Give Me Strength 3LP Giveaway

Here’s your chance to enter to win the triple vinyl of Give Me Strength – The ’74 / ’75 Recordings housed in a deluxe slipcase courtesy of Where’s Eric! and Universal. In early 1974, after a three-year absence that followed Eric Clapton’s major success with Derek and the Dominos’ seminal album Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs, which sealed his stature as one of rock’s most revered guitarists, a rejuvenated and musically refreshed Clapton stepped into the recording studio and staged a massive resurgence with his 1974/1975 trilogy of albums – 461 Ocean Boulevard, which featured his first No. 1 hit single ‘I Shot The Sheriff,’ There’s One In Every Crowd and the live E.C. Was Here – standing as one of the most remarkable rebirths in rock’s history. Those albums decisively cemented the guitarist as both a musical and commercial force, while successfully staking out an entirely new set of creative challenges.
To celebrate this watershed era in Eric Clapton’s legendary career these three original albums, 461 Ocean Boulevard, There’s One In Every Crowd and E.C. Was Here, have been meticulously remastered and are now available in a beautifully packaged, heavyweight 3LP set inside a deluxe slipcase. It will be released on 9 December in the UK and 10 December in the US.
On the same dates, Universal will also release a 5-CD/1 Blu-Ray Give Me Strength – The ’74 / ’75 Recordings Super-Deluxe Box Set that captures a full year’s worth of recordings from April 1974 to June 1975. It has 88 remastered, remixed, rare unreleased and live recordings, including session outtakes, a new 5.1 Surround Sound mix of 461 Ocean Boulevard and original quadrophonic mixes of 461 Ocean Boulevard and There’s One In Every Crowd. It also comes with a 60 page hardbound book with extensive liner notes and packed with rare photos and behind-the-scenes images.

Send an email to contests@whereseric.com using the subject header GIVE ME STRENGTH. In the body of the email, be sure to include your FULL NAME and POSTAL ADDRESS. One entry per person. All qualified entrants will be entered in a random draw.
Contest Rules: No purchase necessary. Registration to receive the free Where’s Eric! Email Newsletter is required for entry. Individuals can register for the free e-newsletter by adding their email address here. Registration for the e-newsletter will be confirmed to validate contest entry. Contest starts 30 November and ends 15 December 2013 at 23:59 (UK). One entry per person. Multiple entries, the registration of multiple email addresses for one person and incomplete entries will result in disqualification. Contest entries must be sent to contests@whereseric.com with the subject header “Give Me Strength”. Where’s Eric! is not responsible for the timeliness of delivery or electronic or computer malfunctions that may affect the delivery or content of entry. Winners will be selected in a random draw from all eligible entries on or about 16 December 2013. Winners will be notified by email. If winners cannot be reached within 5 days of notification, alternate winners will be selected.Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received.
