A new exhibit opened 15 April 2006 at the Galleria Ferrari in Maranello, Italy to celebrate the celebrity owners of the sports car: "La Ferrari e la Musica". In this exhibition there’s a section dedicated to Eric Clapton, who is linked with friendship to Ferrari and has a lifelong passion for Ferrari cars. Also included in the exhibit are several celebrity-owned Ferrari models, including an Enzo Ferrari, a 250 California, and a 275 GTB as well as guitars owned by Eric Clapton, a trumpet played by Miles Davis and an Othello costume worn by opera star Placido Domingo.
Music videos in which the sports car has appeared will also be presented. The exhibit runs through 31 August.
The Galleria Ferrari is a permanent museum for all Ferrari sports cars, plus Formula 1 Grand Prix and GT models and is open to the public.
