4 Oct 16
On 25 October, the two year anniversary of Jack Bruce’s passing, a celebration of the musician’s life and music will take place at the 02 Shepherds Bush Empire. The concert will raise funds for East Anglian Children’s Hospices – a favorite charity of Jack’s – and Nordoff Robbins. Featured performers are Ginger Baker, Billy Cobham, Steve Hackett, Corky Laing and others that Jack worked with throughout his illustrious career.
Jack’s son, musician Malcolm Bruce, and his collaborator since the Cream days, Pete Brown, will curate the evening which will take concert goers on a musical journey from Jack’s early work with Alexis Korner’s Blues Incorporated, Graham Bond Organisation, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Cream, subsequent bands like West Bruce and Laing and his decades-long solo career.
Tickets for An Evening For Jack are available from ticketweb.co.uk from £40.00 (not inclusive of fees).
