Eric Clapton Wraps Up 2026 US Tour in Kansas City

Eric Clapton concluded his limited US Tour in Kansas City on Thursday night at T-Mobile Center. The September 17 concert followed his familiar three-part format, moving from electric to acoustic and back again.
Eric’s first solo concert in Kansas City came during his now-historic 1975 tour, with Santana as support. He even gave a nod to his surroundings that night with a performance of the hit song “Kansas City.” Nearly two decades later, the song made another appearance when Eric closed his 1994 Kansas City blues concert with it as an encore, joined by support act Jimmie Vaughan. More than 30 years later, Jimmie once again joined Eric’s 2026 US tour as a special guest, opening all six solo dates with his unique brand of Texas blues. He will also be one of Eric’s guests at next week’s Crossroads Guitar Festival.
Eric’s touring band featured Nathan East (bass/vocals), Doyle Bramhall II (guitar), Chris Stainton (keyboards), Tim Carmon (Hammond organ/keyboards), Sonny Emory (drums), Sharon White (backing vocals) and Katie Kissoon (backing vocals).

Eric’s 2026 live schedule concludes next week at Austin’s Moody Center, which will host his Crossroads Guitar Festival on September 26 and 27. It will bring together an all-star lineup of guitarists while raising funds for Crossroads Centre Antigua. This year’s festival will feature main-stage performances and multi-artist collaborations from some of the world’s finest guitarists spanning multiple musical genres. Returning Crossroads veterans include Joe Bonamassa, Gary Clark Jr., Billy Gibbons, Buddy Guy, Marcus King, Sonny Landreth, Taj Mahal, John Mayer, Del McCoury Band, John McLaughlin, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Jimmie Vaughan. Making their Crossroads debuts are Trey Anastasio, Tommy Emmanuel, and Julian Lage. As in previous festivals, Eric will perform both nights.
