Filmed at Bray Studios in Windsor, England on January 16, 1992, and now considered one of the most iconic installments of the entire MTV Unplugged series, Eric reimagined his catalog with first-time acoustic arrangements of “Layla,” “Tears in Heaven,” “Old Love,” and more. He also paid homage to the blues music that influenced him, performing classics like “Before You Accuse Me,” “Nobody Knows You When You’re Down and Out,” “Rollin’ and Tumblin'” and “Alberta.” The original release became the best-selling live album of all time and won three Grammy® Awards, including Album of the Year.
With the upcoming ENHANCED-EDITION, hear this ALL-NEW extended, remixed, and remastered edition of ‘ERIC CLAPTON UNPLUGGED…OVER 30 YEARS LATER’ with never-before-heard interviews of Eric discussing the inspiration behind the songs just before he took the stage, seamlessly integrated with the performance audio. This physical release on triple vinyl and double CD also includes tracks not included in the original MTV airing.
All songs (except for Lonely Stranger, Worried Life Blues, and Rollin’ and Tumblin’) are preceded by commentary from Eric from an interview taped just prior to his January 16, 1992 live performance for “Unplugged.”
